These “Rules and Regulations” were voted and approved by the Manitook Lake Association Board of Directors on June 18, 1986.  Nothing has changed since then.  The restriction of boat launch and beach to Members in Good Standing and their guests when accompanied by the association member is specifically called out in the by-laws of the Manitook Lake Association.  Electronic copies of the by-laws and these rules are available on the Manitook Lake Association web site, www.manitooklake.org.

BEACH         *Private beach limited to Association members and their guests.

                     *Guests must be accompanied by an Association member or be a guest in their   home.

                     *No dogs are allowed on the beach area at any time.  If dogs are to accompany their owner, they should be in accordance to the leash laws.

                     *No glass is to be brought onto the beach.

                     *All disposable items brought with you must go home with you.

                     *No fishing from the beach or the raft.

                     *Boat launching is restricted to the launch area and is not to be done from the beach.

                     *No vehicle is allowed on the beach other than for the purpose of maintenance

                     *Ice fishing permitted on weekends only. 

BOAT           PRIVATE LAUNCH AREA RESTRICTED TO LAKE ASSOCIATION

LAUNCH      MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING (DUES PAID TO DATE) AND THEIR

                     GUESTS WHEN ACCOMPANIED BY THE ASSOCIATION MEMBER.

                     Power boating is prohibited on Saturday per town ordinance.

                     Power boating is restricted to 50 feet from the shoreline, swimmers, floats and boats.

                     No power boating after 9 P.M.

ROADS         Lakeside Drive, West Lakeview Drive and Hilltop are private roadways limited to residents and their guests.

                     Speed limit is 10 MPH.

                     Unregistered vehicles (cars, motorcycles, 3 & 4 wheelers, snowmobiles, trailbikes) are PROHIBITED.

DOGS           Dogs are to be under the control and supervision of their owners at all times per the State Ordinance.

CARS            Unregistered and abandoned autos are prohibited per state of CT MVD.

THE PRECEEDING RULES AND REGULATIONS WERE VOTED FOR APPROVAL BY THE MANITOOK LAKE ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON JUNE 18, 1986.

THEY ARE INTENDED TO HELP MAINTAIN THE LAKE AREA FOR ALL TO ENJOY.
